(MENAFN - Arab Times) Abdul Rahman Al-Ghunaim General Trading Establishment held an opening ceremony for its latest acquisition, Nougatini chocolate shop at Symphony Mall on Tuesday evening.
The event was inaugurated by the Governor of Hawalli Lieutenant Abdullah Al-Fares, as well as AbdulRahman Al-Ghunaim and his son Haitham Al-Ghunaim, and was attended by various VIPs and officials, including the Ambassador of Bahrain and the Lebanese Consul, celebrating the opening of the first branch of Nouagtini in a GCC state.
Nougatini showcases different types of chocolate, from milk chocolates, to dark chocolates to sugar-free diet chocolates, incorporating various elements such as truffles, dates, dried fruits and many more. There are four types of chocolates available at the boutique; wedding chocolates, chocolates for baby showers, chocolates for special occasions and everyday chocolates, all available with their own arrangements, which are unique for their accompaniment with artificial flowers, as well as the gifts, trays and other various accompaniments available at the boutique. The arrangements come from various European countries such as Italy, Holland, UK, Denmark and Germany.
Taste
"I love chocolate, and my problem was that while there are excellent boutiques in Kuwait, the taste that I was looking for wasn't there," said Haitham Al-Ghunaim. "I found this taste in Nougatini. So when I tried it out in Lebanon, I decided to bring my experience of their chocolates here to Kuwait. It's very balanced chocolate, it doesn't have too much cream, or too much sugar, making it light. "Another thing is that as a boutique, we offer various arrangements; it has comprehensive choices. The store was the brainchild of two sisters, Karima and Rima, who decided to continue their father's legacy from 1968 onwards, and as such it was very sensitive for them to take on a partnership, because they were committed to maintaining the quality, which we intend to do."
This is the first branch of Nougatini in Kuwait, but there are hopes of expansion in the future. Abdul Rahman Al-Ghunaim General Trading Establishment (part of Al-Ghunaim Group). Abdul Rahman Khalid Al-Ghunaim, the chairman of the Group, is an ex-Minister and a former parliamentarian, and Al-Ghunaim Group is a multispeciality conglomerate, dealing in businesses from Real Estate to Building Construction, to Marketing of Security Systems and Services, Manufacturing of Electrical Wiring Accessories and so on. The group decided to expand to chocolates with Nougatini, due to their distinguished reputation in creating chocolates, having been established in 1968, and expanding toKensington, London in 1988. Nougatini focuses on provided unique confections through the use of the finest imported ingredients, and focuses on a select audience of chocolate lovers and connoisseurs.
