(MENAFN- Arab Times) An unidentified woman and her two children who were in pathetic condition due to hunger and lack of sleep have been referred to a Psychiatric Hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The woman was seized by the Hawalli police when she was alone with the children sitting on a bench at a beach in Salmiya.
The children looked feeble and during interrogation she told police she is a divorcee and has no house to live in.
She added she survived on excess food discarded by beachgoers. When police checked on her records, they discovered she was telling the truth but what she did not tell police was that she has a file at the Psychiatric Hospital.
The children have been handed over to the family and the woman admitted to the hospital.
