(MENAFN) The Central Bank of Iran plans to issue bonds worth USD8.2 billion during the current Iranian calendar year, reported Tehran Times citing an IRIB report.

Of the amount, USD2 billion would be issued on the 13th of the current month.

The Iranian Oil Ministry said on July 11 that the bank has opened a USD10 billion line of credit for several domestic oil projects in the upstream sector.

It is worth noting that in order to fund oil projects; Iran is benefiting from 18 percent of assets of the National Development Fund; issuing USD10 billion in foreign currency bonds; issuing USD1.2 billion in bonds; and selling USD10 billion worth of shares and properties of the Oil Ministry.
