Senex Energy logs another future Snatcher oil producer

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Senex Energy (ASX: SXY) is casing and suspending another Snatcher development well for future oil production and is preparing to fracture stimulate an unconventional gas exploration well. Wireline logs confirmed the Snatcher-8 well in PPL 240 (60%) intersected 14.1 metres of net oil pay, joining the earlier Snatcher-10 appraisal well, which encountered 10 metres of net oil pay. Senex is cementing production casing at its Skipton-1 in its wholly-owned PEL 516 ahead of a fraccing program to test gas quality and deliverability in late 2012. Skipton-1 targeted the shale and tight gas sands of the Roseneath-Epsilon-Murteree package, as well as the tight gas sands and deep coals of the Patchawarra Formation. Data from the wireline logs are currently being evaluated. Following its release from Skipton-1, the Weatherford Rig 826 will mobilise to the unconventional gas exploration well Kingston Rule-1 in PEL 115 (Senex 55%). Senex is also continuing its 790 square kilometres Cordillo 3D seismic survey over PEL 88, PEL 90M and the northern part of PEL 514.
