(MENAFN) Oman's Ministry of National Economy announced that in the January-July period, the country's fiscal surplus grew to USD5.49 billion, from USD1.19 billion in last year's same period, reported Emirates 24/7.

The ministry said that in the period, earnings of the Sultanate's oil exports jumped 34 percent to around USD16.35 billion, from USD12.19 billion.

The country's oil output grew to 906,100 barrels per day (bpd) in the 7-month period, compared with 878,100 bpd.

On the other hand, Oman's total actual revenue surged by nearly 38.4 percent to USD22.34 billion from around USD16.17 billion.

It is worth noting that the Sultanate's actual public expenditure soared by around 43.8 percent to nearly USD17.20 billion, from about USD11.81 billion.
