(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) A Dubai Executive Council (DEC) meeting, chaired by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the council, on Monday reviewed a number of projects and policies in the health and housing sectors in the emirate.
At the beginning, Shaikh Hamdan stressed on the significance of regulating the health sector in a way that guarantees provision of the requried care for Emiratis as well as expatriates.
He called on all health facilities in the country - be public or private - to cooperate to boost the stature of the emirate in the sector.
The DEC discussed the policies that have been ratified by the Health and Safety Committee affiliated to the council.
The meeting reviewed polices to improve quality in healthcare through a transparent and smooth complaint system.
It also discussed a draft paper on providing new sources of housing loans. As per this, banks and other financial institutions will not only provide people with housing loans but also look after the housing needs of the people.
They will also manage the construction project file for the beneficiary or provide a loan to buy an already built housing unit. It will then recover the loan amount in monthly instalments from the beneficiary over a period of time (tenure) that is agreed upon.
