MSM closes marginally up on selective buying 

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Most regional markets closed in red as crude weakened following concerns about global growth while investors eyed the meeting by European Union on Monday aimed at easing the eurozone debt crisis.Muscat Securities Market general index also opened negative but bounced back due to selective buying and ended the day with gains of 0.21 per cent before closing at 5,662.100.Trading activity remained low as a total numbers of 992 trades were executed generating turnover of RO2.76mn while 10.67mn shares were exchanged over the counters.Top gainers for the day included Oman Refreshments (3.21 per cent at RO2.350), Dhofar Cattlefeeds (3.03 per cent at 170bz), Al Jazeera Services (1.92 per cent at 319bz) and Nawras Telecom (1.37 per cent at 518bz).Top losers for the day included OMINVEST (-2.19 per cent at 358bz), A'Saffa Foods (-1.80 per cent at 492bz), Transgulf Holding (-1.16 per cent at 85bz) and Gulf Investment Services (-1.14 per cent at 87bz).By arrangement with National Bank of Oman
