Dubai eGovernment continues promotional campaign 'Best e- Customer'


(MENAFNEditorial) Dubai eGovernment Department intends to build on the overwhelming success it achieved during its participation in the previous editions of GITEX, as it takes part in the 32nd edition of GITEX Technology Week that runs from October 14-18 2012, at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The department is once again organising its promotional campaign "Best e-Customer" under the theme "Pay and Win". The campaign includes raffle draws for users of the centralized ePayment gateway of the department in August and September this year. Winners of the raffle have an opportunity to win attractive prizes including smartphones, tablet PCs and TVs. Winners will be selected randomly and will receive their prizes immediately after the raffle draw which will take place at Dubai eGovernment's stand at GITEX, on the second day of the event. Four government departments will participate in Dubai e-Government's 'Best e-Customer' promotional campaign this year, including Dubai Police, DEWA, Dubai Municipality and RTA. On the other hand, 11 other departments, including Dubai eGovernment, Department of Economic Development, Public Prosecution, Dubai Judicial Institute, the General Administration of Civil Defense Dubai, Dubai Land Department, Community Development Authority, Nedaa (Professional Communication Corporation), Dubai Statistics Center, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, will offer visitors to their stands a chance to enter the instant raffle. Further, Dubai Customs will be giving away valuable prizes for its "Virtual Account" users. H.E. Ahmed Bin Humaidan, Director General of Dubai eGovernment, said: "The importance of this promotional campaign stems from it being a pioneering initiative aimed at appreciating customers who opted for electronic payment, as well as promoting our eServices, thus complementing the efforts to build a knowledge-based society. The large participation of leading government agencies in such initiatives reflects the joint efforts to promote a culture of electronic services and increase public awareness about these offerings. We hope it will increase the use of eServices and boost confidence in electronic payment, which has become the first choice for a large segment of the public." The "Best e-Customer" is an innovative initiative launched by Dubai eGovernment to promote the use of -Services by the public, especially services that require payments via the ePaygateway. This initiative was designed to achieve the common goals of promoting wider adoption of electronic services and improving the efficiency of government departments to speed up the process of digital transformation to create an integrated knowledge-based society in Dubai. As in the past, this year too the raffle draws will be broadcast on TV and winners who are selected electronically will be announced on Dubai eGovernment's daily TV program on Sama Dubai TV, "The Forum", which will be broadcast during GITEX Technology Week.
