Turkey to build USD1b coal power plant


(MENAFN) Turkey's Kolin Insaat's board chairman, Naci Kologlu, announced that the company would set up a lignite coal power factory through a USD1 billion investment, reported Reuters. Kologlu added that the factory's power generation capacity will be at 450 megawatts. The firm said that the financing of the plant, whose construction will be completed in 4 years, will be supplied via Turkish banks. It is worth noting that the plant will be located at the Manisa-Soma coalfield in Turkey's Aegean region, according to the construction company.
