Jordan to receive USD52m EU grant


(MENAFN) Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Jafar Hassan, announced that the European Union (EU) will provide his country with a USD52 million grant, reported Xinhua News, citing state-run Petra news agency. Hassan said that the Kingdom will receive half of the mount before the end of 2012, whereas the remainder will be received next year. The amount is designed to help the Arab country enhance its political, economic, social and legislative reforms. Moreover, the amount will be used to fund government projects in fields of development and good governance, in addition to boosting the private sector.
