(MENAFN - Arab Times) Three Kuwaiti citizens lodged complaints at Salmiya police station against unidentified individuals who stole their ATM cards and used it to withdraw money from their bank accounts, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources, a Kuwaiti citizen informed Salmiya securitymen that after he lost his wallet, he noticed that someone used his credit card to withdraw KD 170 from his account.
An hour later, another Kuwaiti citizen lodged a complaint at the same police station and informed securitymen that a thief broke in his vehicle while he was shopping at a commercial complex in Salmiya and stole his credit card, adding that the thief used the card to withdraw KD 100 from his account.
Securitymen were baffled when a third citizen filed a similar complaint at Salmiya police station informing them that he lost his wallet and a person used his credit card to withdraw KD 280.
They immediately started investigations to arrest the suspects responsible for such thefts.
