Dubai's DP World may win Indian port contract: Paper

(MENAFN) Dubai-based DP World may win a contract to develop and run USD130 million terminal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port in India, the country's largest container port, Hindu Business Line reported. According to the newspaper, the world's third largest container port operator has offered to share nearly 30 percent of revenues from operations with the government. It said the port's board of trustees is expected to take a decision on awarding the contract within days. The 10-km port, also known as the Nhava Sheva Port, was originally developed to put off pressure on Mumbai Port. DP World already operates the Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal (NSICT) and is seeking to expand its operations.
