(MENAFN - Arab Times) An Indian expatriate was arrested recently for drunk driving and possession of 40 bottles of locally brewed liquor.

Reportedly, at a security checkpoint in Farwaniya, securitymen stopped a vehicle driven by an Indian expatriate for checking.

When they detected the smell of liquor from him, securitymen checked his vehicle and found a bottle filled with locally brewed liquor. He confessed that he drank from that bottle while driving.

When they continued to check his vehicle, they managed to find 40 bottles of locally brewed liquor hidden inside the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for further investigations and necessary legal action against him.
