Jaguar revealed the F-TYPE, its all-new sports car. The new Jaguar F-TYPE represents a return to the company's heartland; a two-seater, convertible sports car focused on delivering performance, agility and maximum driver reward. The F-TYPE is a continuation of a sporting bloodline that stretches back more than 75 years and encompasses some of the most beautiful, thrilling and desirable cars ever built.
The car was revealed in front of the dramatic setting of the 18th century Muse Rodin. Following the reveal, singer Lana Del Rey took to the stage and performed a new track entitled Burning Desire, which she wrote as part of her collaboration with F-TYPE. The song is confirmed to be the sound track to a short film that is being produced in association with Ridley Scott Associates and will feature on her new album.
"Film is an innovative platform for Jaguar to launch this car and we are hugely excited to be working on this project. This will be a genuinely surprising story for a brand to tell and we cannot wait to share it with film lovers and car fans across the globe," commented Kai-Lu Hsiung, Managing Director of Ridley Scott Associates.
In turn, Amjad Saeed, General Manager of Mahmoudia Motors, said, "We are delighted to witness the F-TYPE's involvement in the movie industry, further cementing Jaguar's identity as a dynamic, highly advanced and powerful car that offers a seamless and exhilarating driving experience."
Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director of Jaguar, stated, "Jaguar is a founding member of the sports car segment with a rich sporting bloodline stretching over 75 years, and in the F-TYPE, we have reignited that flame. The F-TYPE is not designed to be like anyone else's sports car. It is a Jaguar sports car, ultra-precise, powerful, sensual, and most of all, it feels alive."
