(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Dr Krishanu Das, a specialist in laparoscopic urology, has recently joined Al Raffah Hospital. Dr Das has over 12 years of experience in clinical practice at multi-specialty tertiary care hospitals in India.He has also practiced in UK and visited US for robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and has been appreciated by the American Urology Association for his work.He has performed thousands of urological procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries and renal transplants in India and UK, and is one of the world-class practitioners in keyhole techniques. ''The combination of laparoscopy and the natural edifice urology means that there is so much scope to help patients in a timely manner. Laparoscopy and natural orifice urology are the best techniques in urology surgery and most urological problems can be addressed with these modalities provided the operator is sufficiently skilled in these modalities,'' Dr Das said.Al Raffah is aiming to be the leading surgical hospital in the sultanate and more competitive in terms of painless and keyhole surgeries. The hospital is creating a team of laparoscopic experts from across the world.Dr Das has performed 100 surgeries since joining the hospital three months ago. ''The equipment is expensive but the treatment cost is much less than any other standard surgical procedure.''He said that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is the best way to avoid organ malfunctions and diseases.Al Raffah offers a full range of services like endocrinology, cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, pulmonology and dermatology.
