(MENAFN Press) Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, October 3rd 2012

The 3rd Emirates Cardiac Society Congress will be hosted by the Emirates Cardiac Society in Dubai from 1st to the 3rd of November, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

After a very successful 2nd Annual Emirates Cardiac Society Congress which was held in October 2011, and following the World Congress of Cardiology 2012, the Emirates Cardiac Society will continue the education of healthcare professionals in the fields of cardiovascular disease and cardiac surgery and the promotion of best health practices for the interest of patients.

The Emirates Cardiac Society Congress welcomes: all cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, physicians interested in cardiology, nursing staff, cardiovascular technicians, medical trainees and students.

The scientific congress is supported by Dubai Health Authority, Government of Dubai and the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences. The main sponsors of the event includes Bayer Health Care, Sanofi, Servier, AstraZeneca, Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim and supported by Merck Serono, and MSD.

Dr. Fahad Baslaib, the President of the Emirates Cardiac Society, and Chairperson of this Congress comments "Heart disease is the number one killer, both in the region and in the UAE, accounting for 25 percent of deaths. We know that many of our citizens suffer and die from heart disease. But, without understanding both the extent of the problem and how it's actually being treated, it is difficult to make recommendations to improve patient care. While significant data exist at the international level, we lack the regionally specific information necessary to better understand and address ACS and the needs of our citizens."

Participants can pre-register or register onsite for this congress. Our registration fees includes congress material, and your access to all general sessions, exhibition areas, coffee breaks and lunches.
