(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Nepalese housemaid hanged herself to death with a rope tied to the ceiling inside a bathroom at her sponsor's house in Rumaithiya.
Security sources said the sponsor and his wife had gone to a cooperative society in the vicinity for shopping when the incident allegedly took place.
Apparently, a neighbor heard the son of the maid's sponsor screaming in the garden in front of their home and approached the child to know what was bothering him.
The child is said to have told the neighbor the housemaid identified as Halima was dead, so he rushed into the house and saw her lifeless body dangling from the ceiling inside the bathroom. He informed the Operations Room without delay.
In the meantime, Criminal Evidences Men rushed to the scene and removed the body to Forensics for autopsy. A case of suicide has been registered.
