Kuwait- Two Absolved In Minor 'Rape'

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Penal Section of the First Instance Court presided over by Judge Faisal Al-Askari acquitted two Kuwaiti citizens of alleged consensual rape of a minor. According to the case files, the 15-year-old victim's brother was the first defendant's classmate in school. The plaintiff informed securitymen that the first defendant and several other individuals including the second defendant raped him for a period of three months. He explained that the first defendant took him to several apartments where many men would sodomize him for KD 30, out of which he would receive KD 5 while the first defendant kept the rest. He revealed that the last of such exploitation occurred in the apartment of the second defendant, who, along with an unknown person, sodomized him. Defense Attorney Hisham Al-Fahad urged the court to acquit his client or at least refrain from pronouncing penalty against him as such acts took place with the consent of the plaintiff who had also enjoyed the monetary inducement. He added that the evidences and statements were inconsistent.
