UAE- Gen Mohammed receives Omani minister


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Khalid Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, Omani Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, at Al Bateen Palace here on Monday. Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and the Head of the UAE side in the Higher UAE-Omani Joint Committee, and members of the delegation were present in the meeting. After the meeting, the two sides issued a statement in which they stressed the historic relations between the UAE and Sultanate of Oman in the light of the keenness of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Sultanate of Oman on boosting the ties. It added that the Omani official, who is also the head of Omani side in the Higher UAE-Omani Joint Committee, visited the UAE, where he met the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and a number of officials. The statement said the two sides discussed the issues of mutual interest. They also agreed on bolstering the cooperation and coordination between the two countries in all economic and social areas as well as easy facilitation at the land ports to boost transport in the best interest of the two sisterly countries.
