(MENAFN - Arab Times) An Egyptian woman lodged a complaint against a Yemeni man, who was harassing her with love messages, in order to discourage him, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Reportedly, the woman informed securitymen that he used to send incessant love messages to her.
When securitymen summoned the suspect to Salmiya police station, he revealed that he sent the messages to express his emotions towards her with genuine intention to marry her.
The woman later withdrew her complaint, claiming that her intention was to stop the harassment and not to punish the suspect.
Juvenile thief held: Detectives from Hawalli Security Directorate apprehended a juvenile who specialized in breaking into cars and stealing their contents, reports Al-Rai daily.
The arrest follows several reports the Operations Room received about car thefts in the locality.
The daily added that detectives were able to trail the thief who admitted smashing the glasses of 20 cars and stealing their contents.
Apparently, the juvenile left their family home in Salwa area and started engaging in car thefts. He has since been referred to Juvenile Prosecution.
