Qatar- HBKU organises Discover Education City event from tomorrow


(MENAFN- The Peninsula)  Doha: Discover Education City (DEC), an event for high school students, parents and school administrators to learn about some of the valuable higher education opportunities available in Qatar, will be held on October 2 and 3 from 5pm to 8pm. The two-day event will take place in the Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Student Center in Education City. Throughout this event, prospective students and their parents will have the opportunity to gain insight into the majors offered at the various universities as well as learn more about the undergraduate student experience. As part of Discover Education City's program, there will be presentations about HBKU and the universities. These sessions will help students and their families to make informed decisions for their future. Additionally, the sessions will run on both days, and simultaneously in English and Arabic. At Discover Education City, prospective students will also be able to meet representatives from some of the world's leading universities that have been established at Education City at the event fair. The universities participating in this year's DEC are Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, Texas A & M University at Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar and Northwestern University in Qatar.
