UAE- Etihad Airways expects 2012 revenue to exceed USD5b


(MENAFN) Etihad Airways' CEO, James Hogan, announced that the carrier's revenue is forecasted to reach more than USD5 billion in 2012, reported Reuters. Hogan said that in the January-June period, the Abu Dhabi- based airline generated USD281 million in revenues from partnerships. He added that last year, Etihad posted revenues of USD4.1 billion. It is worth noting that Etihad Airways acquired minority equity stakes in Virgin Australia and Aer Lingus, and increased its shareholding in Air Berlin and Air Seychelles.
