(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Â A 60-year-old Emirati man, identified as A.S.A., accidentally shot himself dead in the heart while cleaning his personal pistol in the Ghalila area of Ras Al Khaimah.
Col Salem Sultan Al Darmaki, Director of the Criminal Investigations Department of the RAK Police, said the bullet passed through the top of the rib cage, hit his heart and exited through his shoulder blade.
As per the forensic report, the bullet totally crashed the bones of the man's shoulder after which it hit a wall in his room. Col Al Darmaki said there is no criminal suspicion behind the incident.
He said the body of the victim, who died on the spot, was shifted to the morgue to be later buried by his relatives.
