(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Â The Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai is participating in Gitex Shopper 2012, the largest consumer electronics retail platform in the region, to directly interact with consumers and build awareness on consumer protection.
The Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector of DED has set up a stand at Gitex Shopper to respond to consumer queries and educate them on their rights and responsibilities as well as the future projects of CCCP.
The Gitex participation is in line with DED's commitment to strengthen consumer outreach while promoting awareness on their rights and providing high quality products and services. Representatives from DED's Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection sector are present at the stand to receive complaints and suggestions directly from consumers, distribute brochures, leaflets and posters related to consumer rights, and provide guidance with respect to selling and buying as well as refund and exchange policies," said Omar Bushahab, chief executive of CCCP.
