Jordan- 135 Asian women workers arrested for violating law


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested 135 Asian women workers over the last 48 hours for violating the Residency Law. According to a statement from the Public Security Department, the CID conducted several security campaigns this week in a number of areas in Amman after receiving complaints that some foreign workers were violating the law. Another 150 foreign female workers previously had been arrested since the beginning of the year, the statement said.
