Kuwaiti Jazeera Airways' Aug passenger traffic up 25%


(MENAFN) Kuwait's Jazeera Airways stated that its passenger traffic jumped 25 percent in August from 2011's same period, reported Khaleej Times. The company's on-time performance (OTP) was 96 percent for the month, being the most punctual carrier in the Middle East for the 20th consecutive month, according to the independent US-based OTP tracker FlightStats. The rise in August's passenger traffic was driven by an increase in the number of people choosing to fly to Amman, Bahrain, Dubai, Istanbul, Riyadh and Sohag in2 2012. It is worth noting that Jazeera Airways captured a 30 percent market share on the Kuwait-Alexandria route, a 58 percent market share on the Kuwait-Sharm El Sheikh route, a 47 percent market share on the Kuwait-Assiut route, a 36 percent market share on the Kuwait-Sohag route, and a 75 percent market share on the Kuwait-Luxor route.
