Pakistan, India ink deal to increase bilateral trade

(MENAFN) Pakistan and India inked three deals to increase mutual trade between the two countries, reported Tehran Times. Following 2-day discussions in Pakistan, top officials at commerce ministries signed agreements on removing bilateral trade grievances, collaboration in customs affairs, in addition to an agreement between Pakistan Standards Control Authority and Bureau of Indian Standards. After the conclusion of the talks, the two sides planned to leave the Wagah border open throughout the week for trade activities, and to open other areas for trade. It is worth noting that Pakistan and India consented to remove negative list of items by December 2012 to promote mutual trade, and to facilitate bilateral trade mechanisms.
