Bahrain- Gulf Air relaunches Al Najaf flight


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, recently marked the re-launch of flights to four prominent Iraqi destinations, commencing with a flight to Al Najaf. It is the first destination to reopen with four weekly flights, which will be increased to daily from December 1. "We are pleased to be resuming flights to Iraq as it has been an important market for us over the years. Moreover, we have seen strong bookings since the announcement of the re-opening of our routes, and we are definitely starting off as we mean to go on," Gulf Air deputy chief executive officer Maher AlMusallam said. Flights to Baghdad were launched yesterday with five weekly flights. Services to Erbil will start from tomorrow with four weekly flights, increasing to daily from October 28. Flights to Basra will launch on October 29 with three weekly flights, increasing to four from December 1.
