(MENAFN- Arab Times) An actor of drama shows and well-known Arabic programs was arrested recently for stealing shoes. Reportedly, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received several calls regarding an individual who was caught stealing shoes that were left outside the flats, securitymen rushed to the location.
An Egyptian woman narrated to securitymen that when she came out of her flat, she was shocked to see an Arab expatriate put her shoes as well as the shoes of her husband and children, which they had placed outside their flat, into a big bag.
The neighbors woke up when she started shouting and they detained the suspect before informing the Interior Ministry. Securitymen checked the identity of the suspect and discovered that he had acted in several drama shows and some famous Arabic programs. During interrogations, he revealed that he has stolen several shoes, which were left outside apartments, during late night. He was referred to the police station and a case of theft was registered against him.
KD 160 stolen from grocer: Police are looking for two masked men who broke into a grocery shop of an Egyptian man in Maidan Hawalli, assaulted the grocer and escaped with KD 160, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Egyptian grocer has submitted a medical report showing injuries on his body. He added, the suspects ordered the grocer to hand over all his money and when he refused, one of the suspects allegedly put a knife to his throat.
Teacher's KD 50 stolen: A female teacher working at an unidentified school has filed a complaint with the police accusing 'someone' of stealing KD 50 from her handbag, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. In her complaint she said the bag was in the teachers' room. However, she did not point a finger of accusation at anyone. A case has been registered at the area police station.
Man attacked with sword: An unidentified Egyptian man has filed a complaint with the Ardhiya Police Station accusing an unidentified Arab man wearing dishdasha of attacking him with a sword, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
He told the police station he lives in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and was in Ardhiya so he decided to buy some provision from the Ardhiya Cooperative Society. At this time the suspect and his friend for no reason assaulted him and escaped.
