Kuwait- Egyptian accused stealing KD 40,000 from Salwa school


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Two Egyptian expatriates were arrested recently in Khaitan for possession of narcotic pills. According to security sources, while securitymen were patrolling Khaitan, they suspected two Egyptian expatriates and stopped them for investigations. Sensing their nervousness, securitymen checked them to find eight narcotic pills. They were referred to Farwaniya police station, where during interrogations, they confessed that the drugs belonged to them for trade. A case was registered against them and they were referred along with the narcotic pills to the Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against them. KD 150, cigarettes stolen: Un-known individuals wearing 'dishdashas' raided a grocery store recently in Surra to steal KD 150 cash and cigarettes worth KD 500. According to security sources, an Iranian expatriate filed a case at Surra police station against the unknown individuals, informing securitymen that when he tried to open the door of the grocery store, he was shocked to discover that it was broken. He rushed inside to discover that KD 150 cash and cigarettes worth KD 500 were stolen. Officers from Criminal Investigation Department rushed to the location to lift fingerprints and collect evidences. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects. Iranian commits suicide: An Iranian expatriate committed suicide recently by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room using a long strip of cloth. Reportedly, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from an Iranian expatriate that his compatriot roommate committed suicide by hanging himself, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and found the victim hanging from the ceiling. Officers from Criminal Evidence Department rushed to the location and referred the corpse to the Forensics Department. The informant told securitymen that he was not aware of any problems for his friend to commit suicide. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the suicide. 3 wanted Arab men held: Three Arab expatriates were arrested recently for possession of equipments used for theft and suspected stolen items near a commercial complex in Hawally. Reportedly, while securitymen were patrolling Hawally, they suspected a German-made vehicle with three occupants near a commercial complex and stopped them for investigations. They checked their identities and details to discover that they were wanted by law for their involvement in several cases. They also checked the vehicle and found special equipments used for theft as well as five music systems used in vehicles. They were arrested and referred to Nugra police station for necessary legal action against them. Egyptian's car stolen: A vehicle owned by an Egyptian expatriate was stolen recently in Hawally. Reportedly, when the Operations Room of Interior Ministry received information about a missing vehicle, securitymen rushed to the location and found the expatriate sitting on the road pavement and crying. He informed them that when he left his flat, he was shocked to find his vehicle missing from the lot near his building in Hawally where he usually parks his vehicle. The details and descriptions of the vehicle was circulated among the patrol officers. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to retrieve the stolen vehicle and arrest the suspect. Agencies add: KD 40,000 stolen from school: The Hawalli police have arrested an unidentified Egyptian man for allegedly stealing KD 40,000 from a bilingual school, reports Alam Alyawm daily. According to security sources the suspect works at the school in Salwa. The daily added, when the school authorities discovered the theft, they pointed a finger of accusation at the suspect and he was whisked away by the police for interrogation. During interrogation the suspect admitted to committing the crime. He said he committed the crime in collusion with 'others' whose names he did not mention to take revenge on the school because their services had been terminated. He later guided police to the place where he had hidden the money. Bedoun steals KD 7,000: Police have arrested four men - a bedoun and three Kuwaitis - for committing five thefts in a suburb of Jabriya, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the arrest came when the bedoun sneaked into a shop in Jabriya and stole KD 7,000 from the safe. Police investigations led to the arrest of the suspect - an unemployed bedoun. During interrogation he admitted to the charge and gave police the names of three other men (the Kuwaitis) with whom he shared the loot. The suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution. 'MPs in bid to 'save' killer': Former MP Nabil Al-Fadhel from the nullified 2012 National Assembly was recently quoted as saying two MPs are trying their best to get a document from the Psychiatric Hospital to prove the killer of Saud Al-Hussaini is mentally ill, reports Al-Qabas daily. He added this is a disastrous because these are the same MPs who have been gathering at the Erada Square to fight for justice. He also said if the next elections are contested on the basis of one vote for one person, there will be a candidate who will fight for justice on behalf of Saud Al-Hussaini. Wallet with KD 100 stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly broke into a taxi and stole a wallet containing KD 100, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the complainant the taxi driver stopped in front of a mosque in Salmiya to perform the dawn prayer and when he returned he found the side glass of the vehicle broken. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit. Valuables stolen from car: Police are looking for unidentified persons who allegedly broke into the vehicle of a teacher in a suburb of Ali Sabah Al-Salem and stole valuables, reports Al-Rai daily. In his complaint to the area police station the teacher said he discovered the theft after school hours when he was about to return home. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit. Obscene SMS sent to ex-wife: Police have summoned an unidentified citizen for allegedly sending obscene messages to his ex-wife, reports Al-Rai daily. A case has been registered against the suspect at the Salmiya Police Station. Beautician reports boss to police: A Filipino beautician has filed a complaint with the Nugra Police Station, accusing the Iranian owner of a beauty parlor of forgery and blackmail, reports Alam Alyawm daily. The complainant also said the woman has forced her to sign on a blank paper and stolen KD 100 from her bank account. Police have summoned the suspect for interrogation.
