(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The body of the Pakistani woman who was allegedly murdered by her husband earlier this month was sent to Pakistan on Thursday evening.
The Sharjah Police released the body on Thursday after completing all formalities and allowed her relatives to take the body for burial.
She will be buried in Islamabad. The woman's four children were also flown home earlier this week, according to their maternal uncle.
The children will be staying with their maternal grandmother and uncles, said S.K., a relative of S.A.K., 36, who was allegedly murdered by her fugitive husband, A.K., after a bitter marital row. Her body was dumped in a car in Sharjah Industrial Area on September 8.
"The children have yet not been informed of the reason for the absence of their parents," said S.K., adding that the news would be delivered to them in due time.
According to the relative, it was bitter 10-year-long relationship between the couple that culminated in S.A.K.'s murder. The couple's eldest son is nine and the youngest is 11 months.
Though the police have still not confirmed the identity of the murder suspect, the relative said he had received a call from A.K., who allegedly fled the country leaving behind the couple's four children with a neighbour.
S.A.K. was a teacher in a local Pakistani school and had been living with husband in Sharjah having moved to the UAE shortly after getting married. She belonged to an educated and influential family from Gujar Khan district in Punjab.
Her ex-colleagues described her as a beautiful but outspoken woman.
They also said that she often spoke about marital complications with her husband who was less educated than her and worked as a security guard.
"S.A.K. was my distant cousin but we met each other once or twice in a year since her husband did not approve," said S.K. He was a very short tempered man, added SK.
