Oman's crude output jumps 2.3% in August 

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Oman's total production of crude oil and condensates in August jumped 2.35 per cent month-on-month to 28,581,528 barrels, according to the Ministry of Oil and Gas.In its monthly report, the ministry said that crude oil exports in August stood at 24,980,007 barrels, for a daily average of 807,805 barrels.China imported 24.4 per cent more to top the list of importers of the sultanate's oil in August, followed by Taiwan, which boosted imports by 15.8 per cent.Oil prices continued to rise in August with the average price of American crude oil in the New York Stock Exchange touching US94.20 a barrel. The average price of North Sea Brent stood at US112.68.Oil prices were boosted by heightened tensions in the Middle East and a stronger euro. This encouraged high-risk trading in primary commodities, such as oil.The futures contracts of Oman Crude Oil on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange also rose. As trading ranged between US101.42 and US113.49 a barrel, the average price of Oman Oil, to be delivered in October, stabilised at US109.05 a barrel.
