Jordan- Hoteliers urge tourism ministry to resolve Libyan debts

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) The Jordan Hotels Association (JHA) on Wednesday suggested delegating the Ministry of Tourism to visit Libya and discuss Libyan patients' outstanding debts to the Kingdom's hospitals and hotels. During a meeting with a Libyan delegation, attended by Tourism Ministry Secretary General Issa Gammo, hotel owners said they were no longer capable of paying their taxes and bills since many Libyans have been staying in hotels without paying. The Libyan government announced last week that it would pay its outstanding financial dues to Jordan's private hospitals by the beginning of October.
