(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A gang comprising four Bangladeshi nationals were arrested for stealing electric and copper cables from various warehouses in Sharjah industrial area.
According to a Sharjah Police official, the police recently received complaints from various companies and warehouses about thefts of huge volume of electric cables stored on their premises.
"We have immediately started our investigations and we found out that all the thefts were conducted in the same manner. Four suspects were arrested and they confessed to the crime."
The official said majority of the robbery crimes are committed by infiltrators or individuals staying in the country illegally as they try by all means to find any source of income.
Based on the suspects' confession, they are currently detained and will be referred to the Public Prosecution.
