Panasonic wins USD400m contract from Singapore Air


(MENAFN) Singapore Airlines Ltd (SIA) has agreed with Panasonic Avionics to provide its aircraft with advanced in-flight entertainment and communication systems, Reuters reported. The airline inked the USD400 million contract as it seeks to gain an edge over other carriers. Panasonic Avionics will equip over 40 SIA planes on order with a system that can provide broadband internet and global live television in the Airbus A350s and the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Panasonic Avionics, established in 1980 in Laje Forest, California, is a unit of Japan's Panasonic .
