US Teavana reports Q2 loss on buyout costs


(MENAFN) Atlanta-based tea retailer Teavana Holdings Inc. posted a quarterly loss due to costs from a recent acquisition, AP reported. The company said it incurred USD146,000 loss during the second quarter ended July 29, compared to USD1 million net profit a year earlier. The company also reported a 38 percent increase in quarterly revenue to USD43.1 million, helped by opening more stores. Sales at its stores open at least a year increased 3.5 percent during the second quarter, the company added. The company expects to generate USD42 million to USD45 million revenue in the third quarter.
