Jordan joins int'l climate coalition

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Jordan has become a member of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC) in recognition of its efforts to curb air pollution, Environment Minister Yaseen Khayyat said on Monday. Khayyat noted the importance of working through "real" partnerships to reduce the impact of climate change. The CCAC works to protect human health and the environment, and slow the rate of near-term climate change, by catalysing rapid reductions in these harmful substances, according to its website.
