Royal Jet to Oman accident victims' aid

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) An Abu Dhabi-based international private jet operator evacuated five seriously injured victims of the latest fatal road accident in Oman to Abu Dhabi for emergency treatment on Sunday. The accident involved a total of nine casualties. Royal Jet Medevac service has now provided emergency evacuation for the victims of three separate fatal road accidents in Oman over the past week on the orders of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It was deployed initially to evacuate Mariam, the seriously injured wife of Saif Abdullah Al Haj Al Ka'abi, following an accident last Monday that killed her husband and their six children. A second aircraft provided by the military and assisted by Royal Jet's medical crew was used to repatriate the bodies of the deceased from that accident. Royal Jet Medevac aircraft were also used to evacuate three victims of a third serious road accident in Oman. "We are always on standby to fly people in need of emergency medical treatment anywhere in the world and we are proud to be able to respond immediately to the urgent needs of the UAE," said Shane O'Hare, President and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Jet. "But to have to conduct three medical evacuations within a week from such tragic road accidents in Oman is a matter of enormous sadness for everyone here. We extend our deepest sympathy to the families and loved ones of the deceased and injured."
