University of Dubai Hosts Awarding Ceremony for Chinese Delegation


(MENAFNEditorial) The University of Dubai (UD) hosted an awarding ceremony for 20 male and 5 female teachers of Arabic language and Islamic Culture from the official schools, universities and institutes in China, who followed a course in Arabic Language. The Arabic Language course took place over 71 days totaling some 300 hours of study and training, through which the delegates were given insights into Arabic language and literature, translation and commercial conversations, Arabic history, Arabic Society & Culture and Arab Economy & Law. One of the most important goals of this course was to extend the bridges of cooperation and to promote commercial exchange between China and the UAE in particular and the Arab World in general, as well as improving the performance of Arabic language and Islamic culture teachers in the province of Ningxia Hui, China. The certificates were given by University of Dubai President, Dr. Omar Hefni, who addressed the trainees saying: "I'm very pleased to be here with you today, endorsing and participating in your graduation ceremony. I hope that you have benefitted from this course and achieved the goals you were looking for." The delegates, also, went on regular field visits to several governmental institutions and cultural and Islamic centers in Dubai, organized and arranged by the Center for Management & Professional Development (CMPD) at the University of Dubai.
