(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Ambassador the United Mexican States Samih Jawhar Hayatt participated as keynote speaker at the opening of a business forum in Mexico State, upon an invitation of Governor Eruviel Avila.
The forum is deemed to be a vital economic event and is the second biggest contributor to country's national income after the federal region.
Ambassador Hayatt pointed out at the beginning of the forum to the earlier meeting he held with Mexican governor on strengthen economic, commercial and investment ties between the two countries.
"The two countries will soon sign an agreement to encourage and protect investments to be a starting point for a new cooperation stage of economic, investment and trade cooperation," he added.
Hayatt provided a detailed explanation of Kuwait Development Plan and investment opportunities offered by Kuwait to Mexican businessmen, calling on them fetch for projects in Kuwait due to Mexico's experience in the areas of construction and infrastructure.
The forum was attended by more than 300 Mexican senior officials, businessmen and investors.
