(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia)Black Fire Minerals (ASX: BFE) has appointed Henko Vos as its joint company secretary.
The company has recently defined an initial Resource for its Desert Scheelite Deposit of 6.79 million tonnes at 0.31% tungsten trioxide, 22.8 grams per tonne silver and 0.17% copper.
It has also discovered extensive historic project data at the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology in Reno that will allow it to accelerate activities at the Garnet and Gunmetal Deposits and reduce the amount of new drilling required to bring these deposits into JORC compliancy.
This discovery included a number of historic maps from the 1950s era underground workings at both Gunmetal and Garnet that allowed Black Fire to successfully enter and investigate the historic workings.
This resulted in the identification of large areas of tungsten (scheelite) mineralisation using UV lights.
Metallurgical test work on the three deposits are underway with international consultants Coffey Mining engaged to supervise the work.
