Jordan- Tamweelcom to provide free health insurance to beneficiaries


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Her Majesty Queen Noor on Monday attended the launch of the Jordan Micro Credit Company's (Tamweelcom) new initiative to provide free health insurance to its clients in cooperation with the Noor Al Hussein Foundation's Institute for Family Health (IFH) and Pharmacy1. A Tamweelcom statement issued Tuesday said some 2,000 clients and their families in the Amman and Balqa governorates will benefit from the pilot project in 2012, receiving free routine checkups and primary care at IFH centres in Sweileh and Hashemi. Tamweelcom plans to expand the initiative to include all 24 of its branches in the future, the statement said. "This is one of the most exciting new initiatives for the Noor Al Hussein Foundation" It is a modest beginning with great potential for expansion," the statement quoted Queen Noor as saying. "It is yet another way to fulfil His Majesty King Hussein's belief in equitable opportunity and access to resources for all members of our Jordanian family," she added.
