Ten Afghan Soldiers Killed In An Armed Attack In Southern Afghanistan


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Ten Afghan soldiers were killed and four injured when suspected Taliban militants attacked an army checkpoint in southern Afghanistan, police was quoted as saying Monday by DPA. 'Six soldiers escaped from the checkpoint, and it is not yet clear if they had a relationship with the insurgents,' Mohammad Ismael Hotak, a police officer, said of Sunday night's attack in Helmand province's Washer district.
