US Trimble agrees to acquire TMW for USD355m


(MENAFN) Ohio-based Trimble Navigation Ltd is set to acquire privately held TMW Systems Inc for USD335 million in cash, Reuters reported. TMW, which provides enterprise software to transportation and logistics companies, and its platform serves as a hub from which the core operations of transportation companies are managed, data is stored and analyzed, and business processes are automated. Trimble will finance the takeover through its existing credit facility, expecting to seal the deal in the fourth quarter of 2012. In April, Trimble unveiled plans to buy Google Inc's SketchUp 3D modeling platform for an undisclosed price. The Beachwood, , which makes surveying, mapping, and marine navigation equipment, reported trailing twelve month revenue of about USD96 million.
