Jordan- Salary delay for Tafileh factory women 'resolved'


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Tafileh Governor Hashem Suheim on Sunday said the delay in the disbursement of salaries of more than 100 women workers at the Tafileh Factory for Clothes and Textiles had been addressed. He added that the problem was solved in coordination between Royal Court Chief Riyad Abu Karaki, the Ministry of Labour and the factory's investor. During a meeting with women workers, who were staging a sit-in, Suheim said the salaries for June would be dispensed within two days and the salaries for July and August next week. The workers staged a sit-in on Saturday, calling on the company to disburse three months of overdue salaries.
