Qantas reports USD256 annual loss

(MENAFN) CEO of Australian carrier Qantas, Alan Joyce, said that the company suffered from a fiscal loss amounting to USD256 million, reported Arab News. This is the first time the company reports a loss ever since its privatization seven years ago. Joyce cited the loss to the deterioration of global financial conditions, especially in the EU. In the year before, the company had reported profits that exceeded the amount of this year's losses. It is worth noting that the CEO added that he would receive a bonus or a pay raise for the current year.
