(MENAFN - Arab Times) The Kuwait Livestock Transport and Trading Company (KLTTC) has allegedly violated the price regulation agreement signed with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to fix the price of meat at KD 1 per kilo for that with bones and KD 1.5 per kilo for that without bones, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.
Sources disclosed the ministry recently presented a report on the alleged violation. Sources said the stipulations of the agreement include the submission of a list of imported meat products and informing the ministry in case there are changes in prices, as well as the justifications for the price hike.
However, the ministry received complaints from a number of consumers who claimed the company has violated the agreement, specifically the provisions on the prices of meat and delivery charges, sources added.
It is worth mentioning here that Article Two of ministerial decision number 409/2012 states the ministry has the right to take the necessary action against any company proven to have violated the price regulation agreement.
