Kuwait- 'Freedom of speech being abused'


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Majority of the respondents in the recent online poll conducted by Al-Seyassah daily on its website said they support calls for the ratification of the law on 'hate speeches'. Eighty-three percent of 400 participants in the survey have agreed on the need for Kuwait to implement the speech law, while 16 percent believe the law is not necessary and one percent had no opinion on the proposal. Proposal According to those who support the proposal, some people abuse their freedom of speech by launching scathing attacks against others on various social networking sites. They think it is now time for the country to enact the speech law to prevent these people from instigating conflicts among various groups in the Kuwaiti society.
