(MENAFN - Arab News) The High Commission for Riyadh Development (HCRD) has made seating arrangement for 10,000 people at the Qasr Al-Hukm, where the three-day Eid Al-Fitr official celebration will take place that will fall either on Saturday or today.

Riyadh Gov. Prince Sattam will perform the prayer along with other princes and officials at Imam Turki Mosque at Qasr Al-Hukm (Palace of Governance). He will also receive well wishers after Maghreb prayers.

He will join citizens and expatriates in their celebrations at the Qasr Al-Hukm grounds and at the Diplomatic Quarter. Eid prayers will be held at 24 open locations and 517 big mosques in Riyadh in line with the directives of Prince Sattam.

An official at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance in Riyadh, said the grand congregations in the capital would take place at Imam Turki Mosque and Mohammad bin Ibrahim Mosque at Qasr Al-Hukm.

For the comfort of the public, the main open congregation will be held at King Faisal Road as usual and others can easily go to prepared open areas located throughout Riyadh, said the official.

This is in accordance with the directive of Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh, minister of Islamic affairs, who ordered local authorities to ensure these mosques and other praying areas were ready to receive worshippers.
HCRD is organizing activities at 40 locations for the celebrations ranging from fireworks, local folklore dances and many entertainment programs for children.

According to the organizer, Saudi government various Channels will transmit the whole program live and big screen will be placed at the Palace vicinity. Also special tents have been set up for participants. Riyadh children acquired the largest share of events celebrations this year which
will be held in these locations,

Fireworks will light up the sky of Riyadh for three days that will take place at various places in the capital including Prince Faisal Stadium, Prince Sultan
University, Hanging bridge, Salam Mall, King Abdulaziz Manakh Garden, Haer District.

Meanwhile, the traffic department has assigned 1,000 traffic officers and 736 vehicles including secret traffic vehicle and motorcycle to cover Eid celebrations, which will last for up to three days.

According to Col. Ali Abdullah Al-Dibeikhi, head of Riyadh Traffic, his department's strategy includes among others early deployment of officers from 3 a.m. on Eid day. He said more would be deployed in areas where Eid prayers are taking

place.
They will also be deployed along main roads and at exit points to manage traffic. Undercover police will be on patrol. The airport roads will also be monitored ahead of the expected rush at King Khaled International Airport.

The official advised drivers to cooperate and observe the traffic guidelines to ensure the celebrations are a joyful and pleasant experience. As part of the Riyadh municipality's preparation 2,390 decorations have been fixed on the capital's main roads to make the nights bright and enjoyable.

Thursday night there was a noticeable rush on Riyadh's main roads, especially near big shopping malls, as many people tried to complete their shopping for Eid.
