Jordan- 'Around 91% of Queen Alia Airport expansion complete'


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Around 91 per cent of the Queen Alia International Airport expansion project has been completed at a cost of around JD445 million. Transport Minister Hashem Masaeed said the ministry is monitoring the implementation of the project, expected to conclude by the end of this year or early next year. The number of passengers passing through the airport reached more than three million during the first six months of this year, marking a 22 per cent increase compared with the same period last year. Under the build-operate-transfer agreement, a total of 54.47 per cent of the total revenues of the airport will go to the government.
